Nadia has been making these adorable bears for nearly fifteen years, since 1995 while recuperating from an illness. Nadia’s very first bear was made from a teddy bear kit and now her creations are inspired by her own ‘much loved’ vintage bears. Nadia is a perfectionist, spending many hours on the detail of each bear to make them look and feel much loved, as possible. Her work is creative, highly distinctive and meticulously stitched.
*Nadia will be creating a selection of five traditional bears for our Winter Collection 2010. This collection demonstrates all the different styles of bears created by this very talented artist. Launch date 15th of September.
Blanche is 11inches (28cm) and is made from sparse pale blond mohair on a yellow backing, has black glass boot button eyes and floral cotton paw pads. Blanche is highly distinctive, being flat front to back. Nadia has hand plucked Blanche's mohair to make it sparse and slightly baldy. Blanche wears a pair of floral cotton baggy panties. Blanche is a real sweetie, very cute indeed!

Georgeous is 12.5inches (32cm) and is made from sparse soft pink and brown mohair, vintage boot button eyes and a black sparsely embroidered nose. Nadia has hand plucked Georgeous' mohair to make it sparse and slightly baldy. Georgeous wears a string of pearls around her dainty neck, and a pair of big soft beige baggy woollen socks. Georgeous is totally GEORGEOUS! One-of-a-kind.
