Gloria Norbury, also known as 'Norbeary Bears', from Lancashire, England.

Gloria has been making these adorable bears for over twenty years, since 1988 (with her husband Ralph until he sadly died in September 2008). The inspiration to make bears came from being serious collectors of all types of Victorian toys and dolls. Each creation is created with great depth, imagination and enthusiasm. Over the years, together they developed their very own distinctive style, creating forlorn ragamuffins, along the way! Their work as artists has inspired countless other bear artists all over the world. We are very pleased to include the creations, made by these very special ladies, Gloria and Barbara-Ann, at Silly Bears. 

Gloria, with the assistance from Barbara-Ann Bears, will be creating five adorable traditional bears for our Winter Collection 2010. Launch date the 15th of September.
